This band is not a band, but a solo artist with a crochet driven through her brain.



Born into a musical family on June 10 1989, Alicia had no other way to be than a musician. Growing up as the "fat kid" her school life was a continuous battle through sadness and exclusion. Starting in 1st grade, the taunts continued right through to 3rd grade, where she left her first school and started at her second. This school was a little better, as here she made her best friend Mel, who is still her best friend to this day 10 years on.



Moving onto high school, Alicia was your everyday normal kid. Meeting some class outcasts in her 1st year, she started to think about rebelling against trends and personality mainstreams. By her 3rd year in high school, Alicia had formed her first band "The Ragdolls". At this time, she had gone from strawberry blonde to raven black hair, and wore black from head to toe. Her fashion was everything, wearing Gothic gloves and studded bracelets. She had grown hostile to the preppy students around her, and vowed to remain secluded from them, and remain devoted to music and rebellion.



Fighting with her only other band member, "The Ragdolls" split in 2004, but the name carried on to Alicia's new band with friend Karen. Linking her to bad memories of times with her old band, Alicia changed the name of the band to "The Dispirited Rebellion", soon after, reappointing her ex band member after patching things up. After more thought, Alicia miraculously came up with the new-improved shorter band name "OURSAKE" after saying to herself "We have to make this work for OUR SAKE" while watching television one evening.



The band members were thrilled and in love with their new name, as it was original, short and had meaning.



After Karen and Alicia had a further falling out with the ex band member, they finally decided to boot her for the final time, as she seemed to always cause conflict, and grasped all the credit for their work.



Continuing "OURSAKE" till 2007, Karen and Alicia worked extremely hard and completed 5 songs. Unfortunately, after Karen decided to ditch Alicia and a concert, the band split in December '07.



Now in the first days of 2008, Alicia is a solo artist looking for dedicated band members who she can count on. She currently writes music and lyrics, and creates techno/electronica with her boyfriend Warren.
