Many eons ago, far from the Earth (but not quite as far away as the Star Wars universe) there existed a land enshrouded in darkness... a land named Blackfringe. Putrid clouds of sulphur and smoke billowed forth and upwards from the blackened landscape, suffocating any ray of light that sought to bring relief to the world below.

The people of Blackfringe numbered many, yet laughter and cheer were as rare as honest politics. The only peace they knew was in the styling of their black hair and in their emotional music... a strange mixture of joyous melodies, covered by sinister and self-deprecating vocals.

The gods noticed the plight of the poor inhabitants of the land, sending forth three of their own to alleviate the situation. No longer would they force the people of Blackfringe to suffer from darkness or lack of sex... no longer would they need to wallow in their misery. The gods would give them the happiness (though perhaps not the sex) they so desired.

With the energy of a raging, hormonal 18 year old boy, Oli was sent to penetrate deep within the grounds of Blackfringe... his job was clear. Immediately, he stomped with both feet, shaking the underworld with rhythmic, thudding might. The planet shook violently, releasing toxic gases that had long been choking the soil.

Next, Atilla was dropped to Blackfringe's surface... bounding across the land like a ballet dancer on ecstasy, he spun to and fro, blasting low hums from his magical, flatulating instrument... the sound waves were deafening, yet the sheer force was enough to lift the dark clouds ever higher.
The people of the land for the first time could see clearly... yet still the darkness existed above them.

Finally, Tuita emerged from within the skies. Calling forth the albatrosses and eagles, he ordered a song in unison... like a woman spending a night with a SubNuronik band member, the great birds screamed ecstatically. The dark clouds around were instantly blasted into space and the land was free and bright.

The people were overjoyed (though now a little sunburnt). They praised their three saviours with offers of food, foot massages and Conan The Barbarian DVDs. So happy were the people, that they forever more renamed their land, SubNuronik.
